Why should intervention continue during the pandemic?

Children with developmental disabilities are more vulnerable to the effects of the pandemic due to:

• Greater health care needs

• Dependency on community-based services

• Mental health concerns

The consequences of missed present-day opportunities may only be evident in the years to come. Hence, supporting this population should continue throughout the pandemic.
