When parents are okay, they can be more responsive and caring. Protecting the parents’ mental and physical health is an important protective factor that help children’s well being during and after the pandemic.
Parents may take breaks from work and caregiving responsibilities and do self care (exercise, reading, praying or enjoying a cup of coffee). They may also reach out to their family
and friends for support.
